The Christmas Countdown has begun. Once Halloween is over, it seems the kids are anxiously looking forward to the next big thing…Christmas. Sure, there’s a little love for Thanksgiving and all the yummy food we all get to eat, but the magic of Christmas seems to be where it’s at for the kids!

Years ago, when my kids were little, my mom gave us an Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar similar to this one. It seriously, saved my of one thousand-million questions from the kids. I didn’t have to hear, “How many days until…..”. Such a treat. Instead it turned into excitement every morning to take turns opening the little “drawer” and eat the candy treat inside.

The Advent Calendar was the perfect thing to help teach the kids patience and taking turns. It also became a household tradition. It may be that you don’t have an Advent Calendar in your home, but would still love to have a little countdown to deter the kids from asking “how many days until” questions!

The Christmas Countdown free printable is the perfect little thing to print out and put on the fridge. Let the kids take turns marking off each day. You could even highlight certain days with a big circle and note something special is going to happen, such as a Christmas play, a holiday baking day, or even a day to make their Christmas Wish Lists!
