Free Customizable Backpack Tags for Kids

I just sent two of our sweetest neighbor girls home with the biggest smiles on their faces! Oh the joy and giddiness of girls is so different than boys (you know I am a BOY mom, right?).

I created these fun customizable Backpack Tags for each of the girls and they were over the top thrilled! Their sweet momma even sent me a text that said, “You would have thought the girls hit the lottery, they were so excited!” Adding a touch of personalization to their backpacks helped them get all that more excited for school to start in just a few weeks.

Create Customizable Backpack Tags

In just a few easy steps and a little customization, you can create super cute backpack tags for your kids.

First, start out with a few simple, inexpensive supplies:

Next, to edit and add text to the backpack tags, use a program such as Canva.com, PicMonkey.com or even Photoshop or Microsoft Word.

Not to long ago, I shared with you how to create customizable binder covers using the free program Canva.com. This same program and process can be used with the backpack tags. Take a peek at how simple it is to add text to the download.

When you are ready to print, I would suggest printing on card stock. This thicker paper doesn’t allow the ink to bleed through and makes cutting the backpack tags much easier then regular copy paper.

Finally, you are ready to put the backpack tag together. Cut out the tag from the printout. Place the tag inside the self-laminating pouch and press to seal. That’s it–super quick and simple, but so fun for kid’s to have a custom name tag on their backpack!

Now that their backpacks are ready to go, don’t for get to create some back-to-school goals, customize their binders and pass out some invites for a bus stop first day of school breakfast.
