4th of July Cupcake Topper

The red, white and blue gets me every time. These colors looks so awesome in any holiday decorations, especially food.

4th of July Firecracker Cupcakes

These 4th of July Firecracker Cupcakes are east to whip up in no time at all! Now, I happened to make my cupcakes from scratch. FRIENDS–do what’s easy for you….if you need to go to the store and buy cupcakes, do it! It’s a huge time saver! Then, add the decorations on top.

Here’s what I did. I grabbed a bag of Twizzlers Pull n’ Peel Licorice.

1. Cut each strand into 3 sections. Take one of the cut sections and pull apart the individual strand about half way to make your “firecracker”.
2. In the middle of each “firecracker” place your stars. You can make your stars by downloading and printing out the free 4th of July Firecracker Cupcake Toppers below.
3. Cut out the stars. Then add a dab of glue to each star and fold over a toothpick.
4. Insert the the newly created cupcake topper into the “firecracker”.
5. Last,  push the cupcake firecracker and topper into the frosting on your cupcake.
