  1. Teachers don’t like these kinds of gifts. It is better suited for a neighbor or aquaintance. Like you said, teachers work very hard with your child, second to mom! They know your child practically as well as you do. They work hard to plan lessons that will interest your child and help them grow and learn. To give them a gift like this is so demeaning. They deserve a gift bigger than grandma’s! They put their heart and soul into your child for an entire year, giving up their nights and weekends so they can plan for the next 7 hour day they will spend with them the next day! Teachers get paid squat, the parents complain about the school system relentlessly, and they still show up because they care about your child. If you want to know how hard they really work, try throwing a 7 hour birthday party for 25 kids, for 5 days straight. (Without showing movies)

If you really want to know what a teacher would like, start with a gift card to amazon where she can buy almost anything. Can you imagine what it’s like getting 25 little cute foodies with silly sayings every year? It gets old! Show her some respect, and some honor for all that she does for your child. She’s second to mom in many kid’s lives.

    1. Wow…why don’t you take a breath and listen to yourself…Maybe some people have multiple kids and barely enough money for their owns kids and family. Yes aggreed teachers get paid crapy, but that was their own decision for their career….Any gift that a child gives to their teacher should be greatly appreciated. It is the thought that counts!!!!

    2. Lmao. Just stop. Teachers do what they do out of choice. They are not family. And Christmas is about the thought. Not how much money went into the gift. You sound horrible and greedy saying these things. Remember what Christmas is truly about. And my child’s teacher is most definitely not more important than their grandma and they are NOT a second mother to my child. I wish you a Merry Christmas and my wish to you is that you remember the true meaning of Christmas spirit and can see some of the joy in this world this season!
