We create a budget for the month, but then something unexpected comes up and we blow the budget out of the water. It happens again and again, month after month. Why is it we just can’t create a budget and stick to it? How do we plan for the unexpected?
Zero Based Budget
There’s a different type of budget to try, to avoid all of the unexpected. It’s called the Zero Based Budget. Each and every month every expense must be justified. To put it simply, you take your entire income and allocate all of it to your debts and expenses. The total income and the total balances out to zero.
It’s simple to get started. Grab the free printable Zero Based Budget Free Printable from the button below. Begin entering your information in the income area of the template. Then, go through the set expenses, debt and adjustable expenses for the month. Keep in mind, you might need a few months to start to perfect your line items each month. It’s possible you may have missed a few adjustable expenses. Give yourself some grace and work through it until you start to see months where you nail the budget month after month.
Sometimes we need just a little more than a budget template to really get our finances in order. Of course you can use the Mini Budget Binder but what might help you even more is the Master Your Money Super Bundle–let me share more.
